I’ve been noticing a lot of things lately with Preference coming up. I’ve been noticing that even though it’s a girl’s choice dance, it sounds like a lot of guys are paying for it. I couldn’t believe it when I first heard about it. Many girls complain about girl’s choice dances. I would think they would be rejoicing, because they finally get to take their dream guy. They don’t have to worry about nerdy guys asking them, or guys who only shower once a week and don’t shave. They can finally ask the guy they’ve had a secret crush on for the past 3 months, their boyfriend, or one of their really good friends. I think that on girl’s choice dances, the girls should have to pay. Guys spend so much money on taking girls out on dates that a girl’s choice dance is like a repayment. But I also couldn’t believe how much the girls are wanting to spend either. Some girls are spending over $100 on just the day date and dinner. I think that’s absurd. That doesn’t even count pictures, which is another $30. I think that the true girl’s choice dance and what it means has been thrown out the window.
